Buoy cams exist now, but an 'ol idea might still be useful.
-Have a camera placed on a buoy with a remote controlled (cheaper) or sat tacking (expensive) link so it follows the sunrise westward-winter () eastward-summer., this way viewers can see a sunrise at 5am even if its the middle of their least sunshine season.
Of course there are many problems here a few:
1) Costs [ask for federal experimenting project help OR get that areas TV competitors to join in and develop a schedule to have the buoy cam shared.
2) The integrity of the system can it withstand severe weather [Search the weather history ./ logs of other buoys to figure out their limits, create a buoy that can detach thus hover and/or submarine when severe weather is approaching. Of course international laws apply so these are not used as some type of military or offensive drone (left out defensive purposely...as a good defense is the best...)
3) Not to get in the way of shipping be it free Aqualanes or shipping lanes.
-This idea i first sent to WNYW ch. NYc in the middle 1980s then to the weather channel (twch) ~1990 penpal there, 1992 Jim Cantore an 1995 Mark Mancuso. i thought when i saw the "new" studio in ¿1996? that the wide screen looking background / wall over a mezzanine level was going to be a projection area where one could see some live sunrise or postcard LIVE feed but till i last saw the weather channel in 2003 i never saw that used for any LIVE feeds. And an idea fort artists was to project sunrises on famous structures via a 3 Dimensional TV/projection method idea i sent twch in the 1990s.
-Now i was reminded of this idea by a friend as he in coming back from trip to Wash / Cali. reminded me that it was more for west coast TV / news stations. Maybe they might be more interested in this, including The CBS station where Tracy Humphrey is at, which by the way he saw i think last 20081006Mn and stated she looked magnificent in a 1940/50s romantic hairstyle.
NOT BEING NEGATIVE OR SCARING ANYONE but also good to record the affects of one of three and a "half" 12.0 yup 12.0 ~off Richter scale quakes within the next 7.4 years NOT TRYING TO SCARE ANYONE just info i tried to share for over 30 yrs, never got anyone attention SO practice ones emergency drills so IF it occurs it will be easier to survive.
Why mention TH in this post, simple her presence or anyone whom even if paid to do, still does "beyond the call" at infotaining their viewer (i.e. wake up at weird hours put on their best face even if going through hard times ) so i feel why not send ideas to them as i have done for years including to scientist and as i did most of with those i wrote to at twch and other TV stations). Plus i had sent TH a few ideas yrs ago and was going to send a few more anonymously when she advanced her career to CA. So i post the ideas publicly yet add her name in case anyone whom reads these ideas might forward the ideas to her.
-Just in case the reader (as one whom eMailed me might be thinking) if the cams only move W to E or W to E then the Atlantic buoy cam would benefits the west coast in the winter and the Pacific buoy cam benefits Earth's only artificial continent Europe. If one wants to benefit the area / coastline nearest to the buoy then one moves them toward the Equator. Yet if one desire to view other areas sunrises like Tropical sunrises then maybe a communications company or the weather channel pays those countries to feed live sunrises to peoples LCD monitor / LCD windows from cams on those countries lighthouses or coastline buoys. Again there are plenty of cams showing world wide even from space "sunrises" but have them follow sunrises a set Time one might notice anomalies that will lead to science breakthroughs.
As always all i ask is if the idea i post leads to a breakthrough and the generating of a profit please give some of that profit to children in need in a non sectarian method...of course save some $$ as to the economic situation and in TH's case to get that fáv "~posh~" car in yellow as i remembered she once bantered about on a wxcast a few years ago. ,peace
