An idea i sent to google ~2003, youtube ~2006 then 4share a yr or so ago and was going to post on SEVENLOAD [but sevenload removed some of my files including my own show/shows i appeared on 1985-89 which i found weird that se7enload would remove files w/o first checking who owns them but its the interweb anything goes as just read my ideas to see its a free4all.
 The idea is when loading a FLASH CLIP why not load every 20th or so image as this example:

While either in the background as the full video is loading or have the preview ONLY PLAY ONCE then to preview it again or at another ticked speed the user has to play an ad [hey its the only way to keep sites quasi-free] but if the user TICs the preview box titled tic boxes as "pr20","pr50","pr100" in the flash players interface at the bottom just under the play slide bar. pr20 means very 20th image i viewed as the clip loads in the background / temp folder, pr50 means every 50th frame is viewed and so on.

Now lets say one wants to view a 4 minute clip of paint dying ( say "oooooohhhhhhhhhh", as on the Wheel of Fortune ) well presently one waits some time depending on our connection speed oh a minute or so, but tic pr50 and in ~3 seconds one gets a taste of how paint dries...DO NOT TASTE THIS AT HOME its like dad's cooking yeeeeeeech...kidding dad he was actually  chief for 40+ yrs.
